Designed for my own wedding in Round Top, Texas, this project was a turning point in my creative journey. Before this, most of my work had been one-off watercolor and sketch illustrations for a wedding paper studio—but getting to design every detail of our paper goods from start to finish was such a special experience. I kept the main invitations and color palette simple and timeless, layering in a touch of whimsy through a hand-drawn floral motif and a vintage-inspired border. The calligraphy, done by our dear family friend Jan Pruitt, added a meaningful personal touch.

One of my favorite details was the custom pattern I created for the vellum liner—it was brought to life in the form of napkins and tablecloths with help from my sister and her textile business, KD Weave. I also added illustrated elements to our welcome boxes and painted a watercolor bar menu to round out the suite. This project was full of meaningful, personal touches and done in collaboration—two of the things I love most about what I do.
